Repellex natural deer repellent contains natural ingredients that are completely safe for pets, children, and the environment. The repellent comes in your choice of Systemic Tablets or a spray in ready-to-use or concentrated form. Different formulas are used for each and these formulas work in two different ways. Repellex also offers a repellent spray for fruits and vegetables.
Repellex Systemic Tablets are easy to use. Simply push the tablets 1 to 3 inches beneath the surface of the soil about 2 to 3 inches from the root crown, either when planting or when new growth appears on established plants. Apply one tablet for every foot of the plant's current height and width. Water the plants, and you're done. There is no mixing or spraying. Plants absorb the capsaicin contained within the tablets through the roots. Capsaicin is a concentrated hot pepper extract that is absorbed at the molecular level, changing the taste of the plants.
Deers learn that plants in your yard taste bad and move on to forage elsewhere. Because the capsaicin is contained within the cells of the plant, it does not wash off. One treatment lasts throughout the entire growing season. The tablets should not be applied while the plant is dormant or when the soil is frozen or waterlogged as the plant roots will not absorb the capsaicin under those conditions.
Repellex Systemic Tablets are not meant for use with edible plants. The tablets are available in 300 count, 150 count, and 50 count bottles.Repellex Deer and Rabbit Repellent SprayRepellex Deer and Rabbit Repellent Spray can be used as a stand alone repellent or as a complement to Repellex Systemic Tablets.
The spray contains dried blood, cinnamon, rosemary, and garlic. The dried blood smells like a predator to deer and rabbits, which encourages them to leave your yard for a safer area to forage. The cinnamon, rosemary, and garlic also give the plants a bad taste, further discouraging foraging. However, the cinnamon, rosemary, and garlic are pleasant scents to humans. Use the spray repellent when plants are dormant and as new growth appears, before damage occurs. Spray directly onto plants until they are thoroughly coated but not dripping. Allow 24 hours for the spray to dry. The spray is naturally sticky and will remain for about 90 days, long enough to protect plants as they absorb the capasaicin from Repellex Systemic Tablets.
The spray comes in ready-to-use and concentrated formulas and in 32 ounce and 1 gallon sizes. This spray is not for use with edible plants. The Deer and Rabbit Repellent Spray does have a brownish-red pigment that can be seen on some light-colored plants. If this is not acceptable, substitute Repellex Fruit and Vegetable Spray.
Repellex Fruit and Vegetable Ready-to-Use SprayRepellex Fruit and Vegetable Ready-to-Use Spray is made for use with both edible and ornamental plants. The formula consists of a mix of putrescent eggs, mint, cinnamon, rosemary, and garlic, which repels both animals and insects. The combination of the mint, cinnamon, rosemary, and garlic smells pleasant to humans, however. Spray plants when new growth begins to appear, before damage from animals or insects occurs. Spray until plants are thoroughly coated but not dripping and allow 24 hours to dry. The spray is naturally sticky and will last up to 30 days. Avoid spraying pollinating insects. The spray can be reapplied any time, right up to the day of harvest. Simply rinse fruits and vegetables prior to freezing, canning, cooking, or consumption.Repellex has thoughtfully created these safe and all natural deer repellent products to protect any plant.
