  • Repellex Repellents Get Rid of Moles

    Quick and easy application
Homeowners make the quest to get rid of moles a priority. Burrowing moles do more than just damage the appearance of lawns and landscape beds. The burrowing can uproot and kill the expensive plants, causing hundreds of dollars in damage.

Moles, however, are difficult to remove, and many of the methods suggested are repulsive and cruel. Most people prefer to use humane methods that are safe for pets and children.

Repellex repellents are easy to use and are made of all natural, plant-based materials with no harmful chemicals or poisons.

Repellex Mole and Gopher 32 oz. Ready to Spray, Repellex Mole and Gopher 1 Gallon Concentrate, Repellex Mole and Gopher 7 lb. Granular, and Repellex 24 lb. Granular Pail contain castor oil, cinnamon, garlic, and white pepper. Repellex Mole and Gopher 32 oz Ready to Spray attaches directly to a garden hose while Repellex Mole and Gopher 1 Gallon Concentrate is applied to lawns and landscape beds, but not edible plants, through a garden sprayer or lawn sprinkler. Broadcast Repellex's granular products over lawns and landscape beds, but, again, not edible plants, with a lawn spreader. Water the lawn and landscape beds after spreading, or allow rain or ground moisture to activate the treatment. These products last 4 to 6 weeks and can be applied whenever the ground is not frozen. It is best to apply them at the first sign of moles. Because moles remain active all year and simply burrow deeper in the winter, apply a treatment in late fall before the ground freezes. These products are absorbed by the soil and create a protective coating around the roots of plants and other underground food sources. With the reduction in available food, moles leave. The departure may be accompanied by an increase in activity during the first seven days of treatment.

Repellex Systemic Tablets protect trees, shrubs, foliage plants, and flowers, but, once more, they are not for use with edible plants. The tablets contain capsaicin, the compound that makes hot peppers hot. The plants absorb the capsaicin and within 1 week to 1 month, they take on that hot pepper heat, repelling moles. The treatment lasts for up to 1 year. When planting, place the tablets 2 to 3 inches from the root crown and push them 1 to 3 inches below the surface. Use one tablet for every foot of plant height and width. Place the tablets around established plants whenever new growth appears, but not when the plant is dormant or the ground is frozen or waterlogged. Depending on the size of the plant, absorption may take from 1 week to 1 month.

Get rid of moles safely and easily with Repellex's all natural repellants.

Ways of Getting Rid of Moles Pest

Moles are shy and timid animals that have the ability to terrorize your garden or backyard. These timid creatures are seldom seen, but what you see all the time are the unsightly mole hills that they produce. Getting rid of moles pest can be very difficult that some people would think that professional help is the only way to get rid of them. Fortunately, with new innovations and DIY mole removal kits, getting rid of moles is possible without the need for hiring expensive professionals.

Information is your best weapon against moles infestation and your best ally if you are interested in getting rid of moles pest. One must have basic behaviors and characteristics of moles to effectively remove them. This article will focus on a few methods of effectively removing moles in your garden or backyard.

    Fumigation

One of the best ways of removing moles is to smoke out their tunnels, or also known as fumigation. Usually, the fumigation agent is based on castor oil. Earthworms are a major part of a moles’ diet. In fact, they will leave an area if they think there are no earthworms to feed on. When you are fumigating their tunnels, the castor oils will form a coat in the tunnels that prevents them from feeling or detecting the earthworms around their tunnels. The moles will be then fooled that there are no more earthworms to feed on, thus they will leave the area to find a more sustainable area.

    Sonic Bursts

These are one of the newer technologies when it comes to removing moles. Sonic bursts devices emit powerful bursts that vibrate the earth and frighten the moles. Moles are very timid by nature, and are easily frightened. If the sonic bursts continue to frighten them, the moles will leave to find a better area. One thing to take not of though, sonic bursts work well with a solid soil structure because this kind of soil structure is better at transmitting the sonic bursts vibrations. Loose soil structures are poor when it comes to transmitting the vibrations, thus it is not recommended.

    Traps

This might sound old school but the truth is traps are still effective when it comes to removing moles in an area, especially the newer traps that are efficient when it comes to trapping the moles. If you prefer to trap moles, then it is better that you choose a claw trap.

Getting Rid of Moles in Your Yard Made Easy

As summer approaches, and we all start to look forward to the warmer weather, there is another species that is also going to start showing up – moles. Moles can turn your beautiful lawn into a haven for them and their friends if you don’t act quickly. In the springtime, moles come out of hibernation and try to find the yards that will offer the most amount of food, and if it is yours, they will be there for the whole season. This is why it is important to make sure they don’t come into your yard in the first place. Getting rid of moles in your yard is not too difficult and there are many different ways you can go about doing so.

Before you try to get rid of the moles, you need to first figure out where they are. The best way to do this is to water your lawn. When you water your lawn, all of the little grubs and insects that moles feed on will come to the surface of your yard. When the insects come to the surface, the moles will follow, this will allow you to see exactly where they are and where their active runs are.

Better Be Getting Rid of Moles in your yard
One of the first options is more of a repellent than a fatal option. Moles hate castor oil. Many repellents that are offered at your local markets will have a pure castor oil solution in them that you are able to hook your garden hose up to. Once the hose is hooked up and turned on, the water will mix with the castor oil to create a barrier for your lawn. The key when using this type of water mixture is to start at the middle of your yard and work outward. If you start on the outside and work in, there is a chance that the mole will be caught in your yard.

The second option you can use is similar to the first in that the castor oil solution is condensed onto small pellets. You can sprinkle these pellets in your yard, but you will usually only have enough to hit the spots where the moles are active rather than spraying your whole yard.

Our third option involves using a mole run trap. This option can either be human, in that it does not kill the mole, or fatal, which will end up completely ending the moles life. The key to mole run traps, human or fatal, is finding an active mole run. If you are not paying attention to your lawn for a week or two, you might have several mole runs that have popped up. The fact, however, is that these moles will create a run and then not use it again. The best way to find an active mole run is to scrape the top off of the mole runs in small spots in the evening before you go inside for the night. In the morning check the holes in the mole runs that you created, the ones that look like they have been covered up are the active runs – moles don’t like holes in their runs. Once you have concluded where the active runs are you can set your traps.

We find that a combination of traps and repellents work the best to keep moles out of the yard. The traps will get rid of the moles that are already in the yard while the repellent will keep any other moles from wanting to come into your yard.
